Stop Motion Costume and Puppet Fabricator

I descend from a long line of quilters and thus have been sewing in some form or another from a very young age. My devotion to learning lead to a BFA in Illustration as well as studying abroad in Japan and New Zealand. I take new classes whenever the opportunity arises.

I worked for LAIKA on Kubo and The Two Strings and Missing Link in both the Rapid Prototype and Costume departments. I co-authored the book Talking Threads: Costume Design for Animation, Games, and Illustration. When not on a production, I combine a variety of mediums to tell stories such as OniSan, a stop motion + graphic novel. I also make videos documenting costume case studies. I enjoy the challenge of translating a design to a functional product and collaborating with other creatives.

I currently live in Oregon with my husband and our canine children.
